Softball Recap: Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Starts off Right with Win over Paxton-Buckley-Loda

Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past the Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers 18-3. The Blue Devils have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Eva Ronto was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. Ronto was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Elli Tittle, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Gentry Elson was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Paxton-Buckley-Loda only posted an OBP of .235.
