Volleyball Recap: Elyria Christian Comes Up Short

Elyria Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Canton-Galva Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Canton-Galva this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-0 defeat on Thursday.

While Elyria Christian ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18.

Joy Pyle paced Elyria Christian's offense, picking up four kills. Pyle got some help from Laney Reiff and her seven assists.

Elyria Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Canton-Galva, they pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Elyria Christian has already played their next contest (against Wakefield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Canton-Galva, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 0-0 draw against White City on the 27th.
