Volleyball Recap: Elkhart Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

Elkhart won the last time they faced Fruitvale and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Elks walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bobcats.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-15, 15-25, 25-10.

Madiline Esparza paced Elkhart's offense, picking up ten kills. Esparza got some help from Layla Walding and her 22 assists. Marisa Denney controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Elkhart is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Fruitvale, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Coming up, Elkhart will face off against Mildred at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fruitvale, they will be playing at home against Grand Saline at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
