Volleyball Recap: Plainfield East Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Plainfield East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oswego East Wolves. If the Bengals were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Wolves when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Oswego East scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20.

Among those leading the charge was Ava South, who had 16 assists and eight digs. Those 16 assists gave her a new career-high.

Plainfield East's loss dropped their record down to 7-19. As for Oswego East, the victory snapped their losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 12-15 record.

Plainfield East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Yorkville on the 16th. As for Oswego East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Plainfield Central on the 16th.
