Basketball Recap: Tanner Sarchet's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Union Colony Prep over Front Range Christian + How To Watch

Union Colony Prep was the 57-48 winner over Front Range Christian when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Timberwolves fell 65-60 to the Falcons on Tuesday. The loss put an end to the Timberwolves' undefeated start to the season.

Union Colony Prep's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tanner Sarchet, who almost dropped a triple-double with 17 points, nine rebounds, and ten assists. Sarchet's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Noah Herndon was another key player, shooting 54% from the field en route to 20 points and eight boards.

Front Range Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Haedan Morton, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Morton a new career-high in field goal percentage (71%). Another player making a difference was Zach Woo, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 15 points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Union Colony Prep fell to 2-1. As for Front Range Christian, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Union Colony Prep will be taking part in a tournament against Denver Waldorf at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Front Range Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against South Park at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
