Softball Recap: Stansbury Wins Going Away Against Park City

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Grantsville, Stansbury was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 22-4 margin over the Park City Miners. Considering the Stallions have won five contests by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Tessa Baker, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, four runs, and two stolen bases. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Anaiya Rogers was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.

Stansbury always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Park City only posted an OBP of .421.

Stansbury now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Park City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Coincidentally, Stansbury and Park City will both be playing Murray the next time they take the field. The Miners will host the Spartans at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Stallions will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
