Basketball Game Preview: Baldwin Park Braves vs. Southlands Christian Eagles

The Baldwin Park Braves will face off against the Southlands Christian Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Baldwin Park is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Tuesday. They came out on top against New West Charter by a score of 45-34.

Eric Avila was nothing short of spectacular: he dropped a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 boards gave him a new career-high. Andy Flores was another key player, putting up eight points and five assists.

Meanwhile, Southlands Christian earned a 54-42 victory over Azusa on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Baldwin Park took their win against Southlands Christian when the teams last played back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 63-41 score. Will the Braves repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
