Volleyball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Oilers vs. Cadillac Vikings
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mt. Pleasant had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cadillac Vikings. Winning may never get old, but the Oilers sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Mt. Pleasant had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 26-24, 25-22, 25-18.
Mt. Pleasant has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 24-16-3 record this season. As for Cadillac, their defeat dropped their record down to 28-15-1.
Mt. Pleasant wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Traverse City Central on the 9th. Cadillac does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
