Baseball Recap: Lamar Christian Comes Up Short

Lamar Christian fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Prairie View Academy on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 8-7. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Lamar Christian got a good showing from Brady Richardson, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Dallas Parker made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. DJ Parhm was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Lamar Christian's loss dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Prairie View Academy, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lamar Christian beat the Spartans by a score of 12-9 on Thursday.
