Softball Recap: Monday's Win Is Blue Mountain's Third in Last Four Outings

Blue Mountain's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They never let the Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Red Raiders get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 14 games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Addyson Fishburn and Emmerson Frie did most of the damage at the plate: Fishburn went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Frie went 3-for-4 with six RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Fishburn has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Dashawna Vincent, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Blue Mountain always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Our Lady of Lourdes Regional only posted an OBP of .000.

Blue Mountain has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Our Lady of Lourdes Regional, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

Blue Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Our Lady of Lourdes Regional, they will face off against Bloomsburg at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
