Volleyball Game Preview: Champaign Central Maroons vs. Yorkville Foxes

The Champaign Central Maroons will face off against the Yorkville Foxes at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Champaign Central had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Thomas More.

Champaign Central was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Yorkville also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Glenbard West by a score of 2-0. The loss continues a trend for the Foxes in their meetings with the Hilltoppers: they've now lost four in a row.

While Yorkville was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-23.
