Volleyball Recap: Copper Hills Falls Short of Syracuse in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Copper Hills can now relate to. They fell just short of the Syracuse Titans by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Grizzlies' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it ten in a row.

Their offense was headlined by Alpine Bowler and Cody Hortin, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Agustin Paz and his 18 assists. He was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Among those leading the charge was Ian Sprague, who had ten digs and three aces. That's the most aces he has posted since back in March. Zane Nanney also deserves some recognition as he had his first kill of the season.

Copper Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 12-18. As for Syracuse, their record is now 21-7.

Copper Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Syracuse, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Farmington on the 10th.
