Softball Recap: Gibraltar Triumphs

Gibraltar lost to Sheboygan Area Lutheran back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Vikings came out on top against the Crusaders by a score of 9-6.

Mia Glocke spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Isla Fagundes was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Jarosh, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Gibraltar's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Sheboygan Area Lutheran, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Gibraltar has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 defeat against Southern Door on the 25th. Sheboygan Area Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
