Hudsonville won the last time they faced Plainwell and things went their way on Monday too. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Trojans. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Leading Hudsonville to victory were Sofie Sanders and Emmy Poll. Sanders had four digs and three aces, while Poll had 13 digs and three assists.

Hudsonville's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Plainwell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Hudsonville has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Forest Hills Northern on the 25th. After both having extra time off, Plainwell and Hastings will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on September 3.
