After low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Nation Ford brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They put the hurt on the Socastee Braves with a sharp 4-1 victory on Saturday. The score was close at the half, but the Falcons pulled away in the second half with three goals.

They hit Socastee with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Keaton Byrd, Ryder DeWaele, Ricardo Santos, and Alec Lindenberg.

Nation Ford is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those seven games. Socastee's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-3.

Nation Ford will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Indian Land at 7:00 p.m. on March 18th. Nation Ford's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Indian Land's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Socastee, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against St. James on the 11th.
