You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Pickerington Central on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Newark Wildcats out of the water with a 52-7 final score. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Pickerington Central had a senior duo take command as Jayden Nelson picked up 84 receiving yards and two scores and Rocco Williams threw for 168 yards and a pair of TDs.

Pickerington Central's run defense was locked in: Newark could only muster 0.7 yards per carry. While nine picked up at least one total tackle, Nelson stood above the rest. He picked up 84 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Pickerington Central didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.9.

Pickerington Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jaylon Kincannon, Nijhaun Nelms, and Larry Rowe picked up one apiece. Nelms got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Pickerington Central's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Newark, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
