Basketball Recap: Sacred Heart-Griffin Takes a Loss

Sacred Heart-Griffin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 73-61 to the Springfield Senators. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (60), the Cyclones still had to take the loss.

Sacred Heart-Griffin's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Springfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-12.

Sacred Heart-Griffin has already played their next contest, a 77-73 win against Mt. Zion on the 6th. As for Springfield, they will host Cahokia at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Cahokia is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.3 points per game this season.
