Softball Recap: Edison Spartans vs. Whitney Point Eagles
Edison put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Whitney Point Eagles get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Spartans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Aurora Parlo made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, Rosie Wheeler was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Maycie Bennett was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.
