Softball Recap: Edison Makes It 12 in a Row on the Road

Edison put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Whitney Point Eagles get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Spartans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Aurora Parlo made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

In other batting news, Rosie Wheeler was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Maycie Bennett was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

Edison pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Whitney Point, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Edison will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair will be back at it again later today.
