Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln High Links vs. Omaha North Vikings

The Lincoln High Links will venture away from home to take on the Omaha North Vikings at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Lincoln High is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Lincoln High took a blow against Omaha Central, falling 81-54.

Omaha North got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They came out on top against Burke by a score of 63-54 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Lincoln High better keep an eye on Jerri'On Williams. He was instrumental in Omaha North's win, going 9-for-17 to rack up 27 points. They are 3-1 when Williams posts 25 or more points, but 6-12 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Ban Yor, who posted 11 points and seven boards.

Lincoln High's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Omaha North, their win bumped their record up to 9-13.

Lincoln High came up short against Omaha North when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 60-51. Can Lincoln High avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
