Football Recap: Carter Clifford Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat South Iredell + How To Watch

North Mecklenburg got the win against South Iredell on Friday by a conclusive 39-13. The victory made it back-to-back wins for North Mecklenburg.

North Mecklenburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carter Clifford, who rushed for 72 yards and one score on only six carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 52 yards. Another back making a difference was Gabriel McLaurin, who rushed for 91 yards and one touchdown.

North Mecklenburg didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Joshua Dickason and Darius Scarlett. Dickason got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

North Mecklenburg's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for South Iredell, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Mecklenburg will host Huss at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Iredell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hickory Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
