Soccer Recap: Christopher Comes Up Short

Christopher was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 5-1 to the Leigh Longhorns. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 820th, while the Longhorns are ranked 144th).

Christopher's goal came courtesy of Avery Montejano, who's now up to five this season.

Christopher's loss dropped their record down to 2-6-3. As for Leigh, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1-1.

Christopher didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Lincoln on the 22nd. As for Leigh, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 2-2 draw against Mt. Pleasant on the 22nd.
