Basketball Recap: Ewing Takes a Loss

After flying high against Allentown last Thursday, Ewing came back down to earth. The Ewing Blue Devils fell 47-40 to the Plainfield Cardinals on Sunday.

Despite the loss, Ewing still got an impressive performance from Lillie Alston, who posted 19 points and four steals. The matchup was Alston's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Taylor Williams, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards.

Ewing's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Plainfield, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Ewing wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 60-44 victory against Trenton Central on the 14th. Plainfield has also already played their next contest (against Cranford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
