If Fort Wayne Wayne was feeling good fresh off their 67-45 takedown of Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fort Wayne Wayne Generals fell just short of the Anderson Indians by a score of 55-52 on Saturday. The Generals' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Fort Wayne Wayne lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Khalyn Williams-Thomas, who shot 64% from the field to rack up 20 points. Another player making a difference was Preston Comer, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten boards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Anderson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Damien King, who went 6-for-12 on his way to 21 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. King has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last 15 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Javon Warfield, who shot 71% from the field en route to 15 points along with five assists and four steals.

Fort Wayne Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Anderson, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-2.

Fort Wayne Wayne wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 89-60 win against Fort Wayne South Side on the 7th. As for Anderson, they have also already played their next contest, a 76-60 loss against Mt. Vernon on the 7th.
