Basketball Game Preview: Pocomoke Warriors vs. Colonel Richardson Colonels

The Pocomoke Warriors will square off against the Colonel Richardson Colonels at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Pocomoke's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Pocomoke is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since December 18, 2025 on Monday. They came up short against Parkside, falling 92-68. The Warriors were down 72-46 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Pocomoke saw an underclassman step up: freshman LATAVIAN DOUGLAS went 5-for-8 on his way to 12 points along with seven steals and six assists. DOUGLAS has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. LAMARQUIS DOUGLAS was another key player, shooting 60% from the field en route to 14 points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, Colonel Richardson waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 68-62 W against the Vikings.

Pocomoke's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-4. As for Colonel Richardson, their win bumped their record up to 17-2.

Pocomoke and Colonel Richardson were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but Pocomoke came up empty-handed after a 74-73 loss.
