Baseball Recap: Warren Central Takes a Loss

Warren Central lost to Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory back in April of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Warriors lost 9-3 to the Braves.

Jalen Townsend and Jeff Haag stepped up to the plate in a big way. Townsend went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run, while Haag went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was Haag's first of the season.

Warren Central has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Warren Central will venture away from home to take on Lawrence Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory, they will head out to challenge Park Tudor at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
