Kennedy proved they can win big on Monday (they won by ten) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Richfield Spartans 4-2. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on five straight.

Kennedy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-6. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Richfield, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Kennedy is set to take on their familiar foe Academy of Holy Angels at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 3.2, the Stars 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Richfield will challenge rival Fridley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
