Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mountain View). Their defense stepped up to hand the Roosevelt Roughriders a 9-0 shutout on Thursday. McKenna Odorizzi was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

The win (which was Mountain View's third in a row) raised their record to 8-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those three matchups. As for Roosevelt, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8-1.

Mountain View didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-2 win against Wellington on the 21st. As for Roosevelt, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Berthoud on the 22nd.
