Softball Recap: Thornton Takes a Loss

Thornton lost against Bloom back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats came up short against the Blazing Trojan, falling 18-1. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Thornton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jada Kelly, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI. Kelly is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Thornton's record now sits at 2-15. As for Bloom, their win bumped their record up to 14-10.

Looking ahead, Bloom will host Crete-Monee at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Thornton will be paying especially close attention to the Blazing Trojan's game: after the Blazing Trojan face off against the Warriors, they'll take on Thornton again at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
