Softball Recap: Fallston Comes Up Short

Fallston lost against Rising Sun back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Cougars took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

Fallston saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mary Pfaff, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one double.

Fallston has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-4 record this season. As for Rising Sun, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Fallston will challenge rival Bel Air at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cougars 3.1, the Bobcats 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Rising Sun is set to face off against their familiar foe Bohemia Manor at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
