Volleyball Recap: Lakewood Ranch Find Success

Lakewood Ranch lost to Tampa Catholic back in September of 2017, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Mustangs came out on top against the Crusaders by a score of 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 21-25, 25-17.

Ava Collins paced Lakewood Ranch's offense, picking up 15 kills. Collins got some help from Julia Vendramini and her 24 assists. Adalynn Lund controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Lakewood Ranch's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Tampa Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season.

Lakewood Ranch wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Braden River on the 30th. Tampa Catholic has also already played their next match (against Clearwater Central Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
