Basketball Recap: Leeds Comes Up Short

Leeds was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 54-30 to the Gardendale Rockets. While losing is never fun, the Greenwave can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 288th, while the Rockets are ranked 58th).

Leeds' defeat dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Gardendale, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Leeds didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 79-46 loss against Moody on the 31st. Gardendale has also already played their next match, a 56-20 win against Athens on the 31st.
