Soccer Recap: Summit Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The matchup between Summit and Roaring Fork on Saturday hardly resembled the 1-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Tigers fell 5-3 to the Rams. The matchup was a 3-3 toss-up at halftime, but Summit couldn't quite close it out.

Summit was without their leading scorer, Nelson Vazquez Rojas, in Saturday's contest. With Vazquez Rojas sidelined, the Tigers had to make some big changes to the lineup. Three players hit the pitch for the first time this season: Daniel Robinson, Lyrik Montgomery, and Jackson Montgomery.

Summit's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Roaring Fork, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Summit will welcome Battle Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Roaring Fork, they will head out on the road to challenge Steamboat Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
