Baseball Recap: Deep Creek Takes a Loss

Deep Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Churchland Truckers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Truckers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 back in March.

Deep Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Churchland, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Deep Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Churchland, they will square off against Smithfield at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Truckers are facing the Packers at the right time seeing as the Packers are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
