Baseball Game Recap: Liberty Lions vs. O'Connor Eagles

Liberty fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against O'Connor on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (5-4), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Liberty's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 14-6. As for O'Connor, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Liberty is set to take on their familiar foe Boulder Creek at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, O'Connor will face off against rival Pinnacle at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
