Basketball Recap: Covenant Day Starts off Right with Win over Northpoint Christian Academy

Covenant Day gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past the NorthPoint Christian Academy NightHawks, posting an 84-32 win.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Covenant Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than Welles Wilder, who posted nine points and four steals. Those nine points gave Wilder a new career-high. RJ Oakes was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Covenant Day was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as NorthPoint Christian Academy only posted four.

Kaleb White and Daniel Osterberg certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. White had four points, while Osterberg put up eight points.

Covenant Day didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-34 defeat against Wesleyan Christian Academy on the 13th. As for NorthPoint Christian Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 77-72 loss against Arborbrook Christian Academy on the 17th.
