Baseball Recap: Covenant School of Jacksonville Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Paxon School For Advanced Studies, Covenant School of Jacksonville was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against Eagle's View by a score of 5-1.

Randy Parker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ryne Fennell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Landon Jones was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Covenant School of Jacksonville's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Eagle's View, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-7.

Covenant School of Jacksonville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Menendez on the 11th. As for Eagle's View, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-2 win against Yulee on the 11th.
