Warde faced Greenwich in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Mustangs walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cardinals. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Warde was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 26-24, 16-25, 25-23.

Warde can attribute much of their success to Lauren Lugo, who had eight digs and two assists. Those two assists gave Lugo a new career-high.

Warde's win bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Greenwich, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 17-1.

Warde didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Wilton on the 22nd. As for Greenwich, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against McMahon on the 22nd.
