Basketball Recap: Armijo Comes Up Short

Armijo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 65-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McNair Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Royals of the 66-62 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2022.

When it comes to explaining why Armijo lost, don't look at Isreal Legree. Despite the final result, he posted 20 points. The matchup was Legree's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aiden Dantes, who earned ten points.

Armijo's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for McNair, they moved to 3-8 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Armijo has already played their next game, a 75-53 loss against Foothill on the 6th. As for McNair, they will take on Riverbank at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. McNair is facing Riverbank at the right time seeing as Riverbank is stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
