Volleyball Game Preview: Rockhurst Hawklets vs. Staley Falcons

Rockhurst has gone a perfect 3-0 against Staley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Hawklets are taking a road trip to take on the Falcons at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Rockhurst turned things around against North Kansas City on Tuesday. They blew past the Hornets 3-0. The Hawklets not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 27th.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Rockhurst took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-8, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Staley got the win against Lee's Summit on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Staley was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-15, 25-15.

Staley's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Rockhurst, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.

Rockhurst was able to grind out a solid win over Staley in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 3-1. Will the Hawklets repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
