Volleyball Recap: Rock Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Rock Academy lost against Hilltop back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lancers.

Rock Academy actually scored more points across those four sets (92-91), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-20, 11-25, 30-28, 25-19.

Aliya Landes paced Rock Academy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Landes got some help from Daniella Lara and her 26 assists. Landes also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Hanalei Andersen, racking up two apiece.

Rock Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hilltop, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Rock Academy has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Canyon Hills on the 26th. As for Hilltop, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against El Capitan on the 22nd.
