Football Recap: Frontier Drops Highest Score of Season Against Clovis North

Frontier scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 41-34 to the Clovis North Broncos. The Titans were down 34-13 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Frontier's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brady Campbell, who threw for 363 yards and four TDs. Malcolm Watkins was Campbell's top target, picking up 150 receiving yards and three scores.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clovis North to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lucas Smith, who rushed for 94 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 145 yards and three TDs. Another player making a difference was J R Cruz, who rushed for 152 yards and one score.

This is the second loss in a row for Frontier and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Clovis North, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frontier will host Stockdale at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Titans will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.6 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Clovis North, they will be playing at home against Central East at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Broncos will need to watch out since the Bengals have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.
