Basketball Recap: Ellis Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Ellis won the last time they faced Phillipsburg and things went their way on Saturday too. The Ellis Railroaders walked away with a 56-47 win over the Phillipsburg Panthers. The victory was some much needed relief for the Railroaders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Jaren Frickey was a one-man wrecking crew for Ellis as he went 6 for 14 en route to 22 points. Aiden Aschenbrenner was another key player, putting up ten points and four steals.

Ellis' win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7. As for Phillipsburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
