Basketball Recap: Mingus Marauders vs. Flagstaff Eagles
Mingus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Flagstaff Eagles 64-34. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-27 two weeks ago.
Mingus' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenna Cook, who posted ten points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Breeze Aispuro, who had seven points and six boards.
Mingus' loss dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Flagstaff, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.
Mingus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Flagstaff, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 73-41 victory against Coconino on the 11th.
