Soccer Recap: First Presbyterian Day Comes Up Short

If First Presbyterian Day was riding high fresh off their 7-1 takedown of Upson-Lee last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Stratford Academy Eagles who were credited with the win on Tuesday. The Stratford Academy Eagles got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the First Presbyterian Day Vikings' two. First Presbyterian Day were red-hot offensively heading into the game (they scored no less than four goals in the seven matchups prior), but Stratford Academy's defense proved too tough.

Having lost for the first time this season, First Presbyterian Day fell to 14-1. As for Stratford Academy, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1.

First Presbyterian Day wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, an 8-0 win against Tattnall Square Academy on the 24th. As for Stratford Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 9-0 victory against Mount de Sales Academy on the 25th.
