Softball Recap: Garnet Valley Falls Short of Coatesville in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Garnet Valley can now relate to. They fell just short of the Coatesville Red Raiders by a score of 8-6 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Jaguars have suffered since April 10th.

Zoey Rogers made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Arieanna Dawson, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

Garnet Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Coatesville, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Garnet Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Coatesville, they are taking a road trip to face off against Owen J. Roberts at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Red Raiders 3.6, the Wildcats 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
