Volleyball Recap: Malvern Wins Going Away Against Leetonia

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Strasburg-Franklin, Malvern was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against the Leetonia Bears as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won four in a row.

One reason for the win was Malvern's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-11, 25-9.

Ella Debo paced Malvern's offense, picking up nine kills. Debo got some help from Ashlyn Bush and her 19 assists. Addison Mitchell controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Malvern's win bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Leetonia, their loss dropped their record down to 0-15.

Malvern has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Conotton Valley on the 30th. As for Leetonia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Southern on the 30th.
