Volleyball Game Preview: Lane Tech Champions vs. Brooks Eagles

The Lane Tech Champions will square off against the Brooks Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Lane Tech was able to grind out a solid victory over Intrinsic, taking the game 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Champions.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lane Tech took both sets by at least 18 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-7.

Meanwhile, Brooks hadn't done well against Von Steuben recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Eagles walked away with a 2-0 win over the Panthers.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Brooks was: they took both sets by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-12.

Lane Tech's victory bumped their record up to 18-13. As for Brooks, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.

Lane Tech beat Brooks 2-0 in their previous meeting back in August of 2022. Will the Champions repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
