Basketball Recap: Tallwood Takes a Loss

Tallwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 35th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Bayside Marlins, falling 42-15. The Lions lost against the Marlins in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 61-10 score last time.

Tallwood's record now sits at 0-14. As for Bayside, the victory snapped their losing streak at 14 games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-10 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tallwood will venture away from home to challenge Green Run at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Green Run will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Tallwood surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bayside, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Oscar Smith at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
