Recap: St. Joseph Academy Flashes vs. Legacy Charter Eagles
The St. Joseph Academy Flashes''s game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past Legacy Charter 56-14 at home. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for St. Joseph Academy's zero-point performance the game before.
Leading St. Joseph Academy to victory were Aden (brodie) Ealy and Jack Fox. Ealy rushed for 206 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry, while Fox rushed for 147 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Fox was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards.
When it comes to explaining why Legacy Charter lost, one person who can't be blamed is Shazarr Roberts. Despite the final result, he picked up 98 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
St. Joseph Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Legacy Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
St. Joseph Academy will head out on the road to face off against Oxbridge Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Oxbridge Academy's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three contests. Legacy Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
