West Platte and Lathrop are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Bluejays will be playing at home against the Mules at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Platte will be strutting in after a win while Lathrop will be coming in after a defeat.

West Platte took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past East Buchanan, posting a 50-7 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bluejays, who have now won three matchups by 34 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Lathrop's offense. They had to suffer through a 31-0 loss at the hands of Penney. The loss continues a trend for the Mules in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost six in a row.

Lathrop's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for West Platte, they now also have a winning record of 4-3.

Everything came up roses for West Platte against Lathrop in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 49-14 win. In that contest, the Bluejays amassed a halftime lead of 28-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
